I completed medical school at the University of Otago (1996-2003) before training in Orthopaedic Surgery in the Republic of Ireland. I have sub specialised in Spine Surgery, completing fellowships at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases and Auckland City Hospital (2015-2016).

I moved to Hamilton in 2017 and now practice in both public and private sectors treating all spinal conditions. I limit my private practice to spine surgery which I believe will result in better outcomes for my patients.  I hold an academic appointment with the University of Auckland and am involved in a number of research activities - this helps me stay up-to-date with the latest and best evidence in spine surgery.
